The Science of Happiness

Do you know that happiness isn’t just a feeling, it is a science. Research shows that small, intentional actions can rewire your brain for joy. There are three ways that have proven effective to boost your mood instantly.

 

  1. Practice Gratitude

Gratitude shifts your focus from what’s missing to what’s abundant. Studies show that writing down three (3) things you are grateful for daily can significantly improve happiness levels.

Try This: Start a gratitude journal or simply say “thank you” more often today!

 

  1. Move Your Body

Exercise releases endorphins (the happy hormones) thereby reducing stress and boosting your mood. Even a 10minute walk can make a difference.

Try this: Stand up or take a quick stroll outside. Your mind will thank you!

 

  1. Spread Kindness

Acts of kindness either big or small create a happiness nipple effect. A compliment, a helping hand or a kind message can uplift both you and someone else.

Try this: Leave a positive comment, check in on a friend or pay it forward today!

Happiness is contagious, when you are always happy in a place it radiates around you making people around you happy as well. Happiness isn’t something you wait for. It’s something you create! Which of these tips will you try today.
