AROGI TRAUMA CARE FOUNDATION IN PURSUIT OF GOOD MENTAL HEALTH FOR ALL
In a bid to drive the mission and vision of the NGO, Arogi Trauma Care Foundation (ATCF) once again hit the streets but this time at Berger and its environs in Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday 5th August, 2023 to do a mental health walk to promote good mental health for all Nigerians.
The situation many face on a daily basis tends to put their mental health status at risk. We find a lot of people out of jobs, some dwelling and wallowing in depression due to experiencing diverse kinds of trauma. There are people with suicidal tendencies, some trying to deal with relationship issues, failures in marriage and we have divorce rates going on the increase every day. We have people especially the youths who have navigated their ways to hard drugs and substance abuse which to them is a solution to their present situation or hardship.
It is for this purpose the trauma care foundation hit the streets to let people beware of their mental health well-being and seek therapy when going through any form of trauma. Arogi initiated the campaign to let Nigerians know that help is not far from them and it is completely free. All one need do is to call the NGO’s toll free line and speak with a therapist. From that moment the journey to recovery begins.
The Arogi team distributed flyers and call cards to people passing by while we also pasted our stickers on buses, bikes and some private transport vehicles travelling out of the state.
It is important for everyone to have good mental health because it leads to productivity and brings affects the general well being of a person. If you are faced with life’s challenges and experiencing any issue or faced with any challenge which is affecting the stability of your mental health please contact Arogi Trauma Care Foundation via our toll free line and speak to a therapist today, we would be glad to help.
Just like the President of the foundation, Dr Otis Ojeikhoa usually says, “If we can reach out and help just one person facing a mental health challenge, the angels in heaven will rejoice”. This is the cause Arogi Trauma Care Foundation stands for and we will continue to help people out there.
