Trauma is an emotional response to a distressing or traumatic event that can have lasting adverse effects on a person’s mental, physical, emotional, social, or spiritual well-being.
While the worldwide life expectancy rate for humans is expected to be between 80 to 120 years, in Nigeria, factors such as a harsh economy, poor security, and difficult living conditions result in a significant reduction of life expectancy. Trauma experienced by individuals living in Nigeria has played a considerable role in this decrease.
Both children and adults in Nigeria experience various levels of trauma in their personal lives, relationships, health, academics, finances, businesses, and jobs, which significantly impacts their mental health. As the incidence of trauma rises across diverse walks of life, we aim to help combat it by disseminating 50 inspirational quotes.
The idea is to read, recite, and possibly memorize these quotes, incorporating them into your everyday life. By doing so, you will become more conscious during times of trauma, empowering yourself to stand tall in the face of adversity. Reciting and remembering these quotes will give you the strength to defeat trauma’s challenges.
Take the time to read, recite, study, and apply these quotes to your daily living, and witness the positive impact they have on your ability to overcome trauma.
